WORKS > THANKS TO THE INTERNET IM RAD

"Thanks to the Internet I'm Rad" embodies online radicalization, echo chambers, and political polarization in the United States through a series of jacquard digital weavings. Found Internet imagery and textures are distorted and replicated to create both the structure and symbol.

Each piece serves as a visual representation of the digital dialogues shaping individual and collective realities and identities. The jacquard loom facilitates intricate designs that mimic the complexities of online interactions through digital intervention, where ideas can spread rapidly yet become distorted through repetition. Vibrant colors and incoherent patterns reference the fervor of online communities, while underlying textures reveal the fragility of constructed identities that radicalize overtime.
